MEVP-012 is the project work course of the IGNOU MA Environmental Studies (MAEVS) programme. IGNOU’s programme page lists it as a 6-credit course in the fourth semester. As with other IGNOU projects, the work normally runs in two parts: a synopsis that is approved first, and then a project report based on it.

Who can be your MEVP-012 guide?

The guide conditions, such as qualification, experience and whether a bio-data is needed, are set in your programme guideline. Please read that section before you approach anyone, because a guide who does not meet the conditions is a common reason for a proposal to be returned. HelpBooks can check a guide’s eligibility against the guideline before you submit.

Choosing an MEVP-012 topic

Too broad
“Environmental problems of India”
Approvable
“Household awareness and practice of solid waste segregation in one ward of your city”

A good MEVP-012 topic is narrow, clearly environmental, and possible for you to study with the time and contacts you have. Some areas that work well:

  • Waste: segregation, composting or plastic use in a locality, market or institution
  • Water: quality or use of a local pond, river, well or hand pump
  • Urban environment: green cover, heat, traffic noise or air quality in your city
  • Climate and society: local perception of changing weather and how people cope
  • Awareness studies: environmental awareness among students, farmers or residents

If you are working, a topic linked to your own organisation or city makes data collection far easier. This is also the first thing our mentors look at when they suggest topics.

MEVP-012 synopsis format

Use the headings and the proforma given in your MEVP-012 guideline. IGNOU project synopses generally cover the title, introduction, objectives, methodology and tools, and the scope of the work, signed by you and your guide. HelpBooks drafts your synopsis in the format your guideline asks for and checks the proforma line by line.

MEVP-012 report structure

After approval, the report is built on the same topic, objectives, sample and location that were approved. Reports usually include an introduction, objectives, methodology, results with their interpretation, conclusions, references and annexures. Your guideline gives the exact chapter scheme, length and binding. Attach the approved synopsis and the certificate or declaration the guideline names, and keep a copy of everything you send.

Got your approval? Let us help you finish the report.
HelpBooks mentors help you turn your approved synopsis into a complete MEVP-012 report with your own study data, proper tables and interpretation, and a final annexure check before you send it. WhatsApp us on 8800002552

Why MEVP-012 proposals and reports come back

  • Proforma not signed or dated by you or the guide
  • Guide outside the eligibility conditions
  • Topic too wide, or objectives that the methodology cannot answer
  • Report that changes the topic, sample or study area from the approved synopsis
  • Approved synopsis or originality certificate missing from the report
  • Copied literature review or theory

If your synopsis is not approved: read the comments, revise the synopsis and resubmit it with a fresh proforma as your guideline directs. Our mentors can rework a returned synopsis using the evaluator’s comments.

How HelpBooks mentors MAEVS learners

Most learners who reach us have one of three problems: they cannot settle on a topic, their synopsis has come back once, or they have approval but do not know how to turn data into a full report. Our mentors stay with you through the whole MEVP-012 journey, from the first topic list to the day your marks appear:

  • 5–6 workable topic options based on your job, organisation and city, to discuss with your guide
  • Synopsis drafted with you to the MEVP-012 format, with the proforma checked line by line before you submit it
  • Help with revisions if the evaluator returns your synopsis
  • After approval, support in building the full report on your approved synopsis, with original writing, your own study data and a plagiarism check
  • A final check of the annexures, certificate and envelope before you send it
  • Support until your result is declared, including any changes the evaluator asks for
