MESP-135 is the project work of the IGNOU PG Diploma in Educational Technology (PGDET), offered by the School of Education. It is not a single research project with a synopsis. According to the School of Education manual, the programme has 32 credits, made up of four theory courses of 6 credits each and an 8-credit project, and the project is completed through a set of small activities linked to the four theory courses.

Do you need a guide for MESP-135?

No supervisor requiredThe manual states that you do not need a supervisor for this project
Academic counsellorsCounsellors at your study centre can help you with the activities
PGDET coordinatorsThe manual lists the PGDET coordinators at the School of Education for queries

Since there is no supervisor signature or proposal approval step, your main risk is not a rejected synopsis but a weak or copied report. Our mentors check your plan against the manual before you start.

Choosing your MESP-135 activities

Weak plan
All activities taken from one course, or an activity done without the data tool it needs
Sound plan
Activities spread over all four courses, at least 2 credits from each, each done in a school or institution you can actually access

Pick activities that you can finish with the time and permissions you have. Areas where educational technology activities usually fit well:

  • Use of media in a school: observing how a teacher uses a projector, video or radio lesson
  • Survey of learners or teachers: a short questionnaire on technology use in your institution
  • Design of learning material: a small lesson or learning resource that you prepare yourself
  • Online tools: trying a learning platform or app and recording what you found
  • Visit to an institution: a visit to a media or resource centre, with the permission letter

If you are working, activities linked to your own school or institution make data collection far easier.

MESP-135 report format

The manual does not ask for a synopsis. The report follows this pattern:

  • Cover page in the sample format, with signature, date, name, enrolment number, address, email and phone
  • Four sections, one for each theory course, headed with the course code and title
  • For each activity, where applicable: introduction, method of the study, analysis and interpretation of data, conclusions, references
  • Annex with the tools used, such as the questionnaire, observation schedule or interview schedule

Mention any pen drive or CD in the report. Any content taken from another source must be cited, because a report with copied content may be rejected.

HelpBooks mentors help you turn your completed activities into a clean MESP-135 report with proper sections, tool annexes and interpretation, and a final cover page check before you post it. WhatsApp us on 8800002552

Why MESP-135 reports come back

  • Content copied from a source without citation
  • Activities not spread as the manual asks, with fewer than 2 credits from a course
  • Data collection tools missing from the annex
  • Cover page missing details such as enrolment number, address or phone
  • Photographs used without permission
  • Report submitted after the 30 April or 31 October dates
  • Weak preparation for the viva, which carries 30% of the marks

Time limit: the manual says you have four years to complete the programme, including the exams, assignments and the project report. Our mentors can rework a weak report before you resubmit it.

  • A final check of the cover page, annex and envelope before you send it to your Regional Centre
  • Viva preparation based on your own report
  • Support until your result is declared
